does staples still pricematch?

do you save when you pricematch with them? do they give you a "bonus" for doing that?

ps. why would this be locked, there is no coupon

Yes, but it's pretty much a joke. The staples in Dubuque, Iowa had a Nazi manager.
To price match, it had to meet the following criteria -

1. store had to be in the same town
2. had to be a competing office supply store
3. item had to be in stock and not on clearance
4. they no longer do the 110% pricematch guarantee that they used to do

Here's the kicker though - there weren't any other competing office stores!!!!

I found a nice Vtech cordless phone at the Sears in town, I had to go to staples anyway so I figured I go over there. They had the same exact phone for about $20 more than Sears. I asked a rep if they would price match. He pulled a manager over and I explained to him about the price of the phone over at Sears. He said "sorry, has to be a competing office supply store". I told him thanks, left what I had in my hands on the phone display and drove over to Sears to buy the phone.

They really, really, don't want much business.

They still price match, but not the 155% deal. Don't think anybody does that anymore 🙁

Hey! Speaking of Sears! ...oh, I'm sure you already heard about them price matching e-tailers...

They pricematch on line, but is better if you call and speak with a guy, to place an online order.
Sometimes they even forget to add shipping in the pricematch.
