Not the TV show, but in general....if you're in a sorority or fraternity, does that justify the fact that you drink 5 nights out of the week? Are you NOT considered to be an alcoholic if you're in a frat/sorority?

I was not in a fraternity in university nor were most of my friends but I did not notice a big difference between our drinking habits and the drinking habits of our friends that were in fraternities. All of us drank like fish and so far as I know only one of my friends from back then ever went on to have a drinking problem. It is a lot tougher to go into work with a hangover than it was to blow off a class after a big night of partying.

Even if it's 5 nights a week, for most people it's still social drinking...they don't go to an old crummy bar alone and kill their livers while wallowing in their misfortunes. They drink and have fun with other people.

The real question should be: Does alcoholism justify sorority life... the answer? A resounding NO. Those chicks are wack.

No. I used to drink like a fish when I was in the house, but now I can go a month or more without even having a drink. I think that people that have a predisposition to alcholism might have a problem when faced with the type of drinking that you do in college, but I don't think it justifies alcoholism.

Yeah.. Those chics are pretty fugly. Remember, it's a Jewish Sorority though and most Sorority houses that are affiliated with religion, academics or service usually foster ugly chics. Those are usually rejects from the popular houses and these girls want to desperately be in a Sorority, so they go for the second tier houses.

I think the only reason why they got a few "typical" Sorority girls in this rush is because they are doing a documentary on this Sorority. These girls are probably a lot more interested in the cameras than the actual house. If I were MTV, I would've done the documentary on a house that has a big national following and one that is more commonly known as a popular house. Who wants to see a bunch of homely chics dancing around?

I generally dislike any and all sorostitutes. :) There are a few that are nice, but most are too skanky for their own good.

Hahaha sorostitutes. Classic ;) Have you gotten with one? Perhaps your tune will change when it's muffled by the doorknockers of a nice sorostitute.

What I laugh about is that people actually REALLY want to get in a Frat or a Sorority. I never understood why people pay more to join and then live in a crappy house. "oh yea I will have brothers/sisters throughout the nation I can hang out with and may get a job because of" YEA right, MAYBE if you went to an IVY league school. Frats/Sororities are for human lemmings.

Those are some pretty scary looking jewish women. The tall burnette is about the only good looking one.

I consider anyone who drinks an alcoholic.

Oh that makes sense.

There is such a thing as a dry fraternity or sorority. The parties, if any are allowed, aren't catered. And generally, the members aren't so drinking prone. I'm guessing that said-person isn't in a dry one.

As far as the justification goes...some people aren't considered to be alcoholic simply because they're in college, regardless of whether or not they're in a fraternity/sorority.

I think there's still a line but you'd have to know a person somewhat to decide if they've crossed it.

If you have to ask, then it's probably not good. Anyway, why 5 nights a week? What keeps her from drinking the other 2 nights?
