Does Sopranos in HD play in widescreen?

Not true. ESPN has HD games that arent in widescreen sometimes.

Arn't those things on ESPN-HD that are not 16:9 also not HD content?

I've seen the bars on the left/right before and the resolution is no where near HD quality.

Just because it is on a HD channel does not mean that it is HD. Curb Your Enthusiasm was broadcasted on HBO HD all the time, but was not HD. The actual definition of HD is 16:9.
