does Sony make proprietary desktops?

I want to switch out my components from a Sony Vaio desktop and I was wondering if this was possible.

Well of course, it's possible. Get something like SiSoft Sandra (Maybe?) and check the models of your parts.

I do think Sony VAIO uses good parts. They charge alot. But I could be wrong.

Well it does have an Asus motherboard, Seagate Harddrive, Sony OEM disc drives, Foxconn cpu cooler....

For the most part all of Sony's desktops internal parts in recent models use standard parts

Is there any way to find out or do I just have to try and see if I fry anything? BTW the model I have is the PCV-Rx560 and its about 3 years old..
