Does someone have a proxy and Seti Solaris client?

If someone could please let me download the Seti client for solaris via ftp I could try running it on one of our sparcstation20. What perf. could I expect?
What other possibilities do I have to get the client on the machine (I'm having a remote access via ssh now with Win2000)?

P.S. Somehow I cannot untar the file!

Hi,

you are looking at 2 days / WU on a Sparc 20..

Do a prtconf, this will show you how many CPUs it has (it may have 2 if your lucky).

$ /usr/sbin/prtconf
System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4m
Memory size: 128 Megabytes
System Peripherals (Software Nodes):

The bold line means 1 CPU, 2 lines the same would have meant 2 CPUs.

Also do a uname -a, this will show you the OS (will say something like 5.51 or 5.6) which would equate to Solaris 2.51 or 2.6.

SunOS ipngate1 5.6 Generic_105181-05 sun4m sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-5

I can email you an untarred client tommorrow (when I'm back in work) if you tell me what OS it is.

cheers,

Col

/usr/sbin/psrinfo -v

will give you the number and speed of CPU's ; a little more readable than prtconf...
