Does someone have a list somewhere of what everyone has downloaded from Morpheus/Kazaa?

I was just wondering this the other day. With all the controversy/lawsuits/general malaise, do you think there are log files somewhere that show I downloaded a certain song the other day? If so, what do you think about that? Worse yet, let's say you download some files which turn out not to be what you thought they were (and I'm sure everyone has had at least one or two experiences with that). Would you want that information available somewhere? I'm not saying I'm paranoid or anything, but I just wonder what the long-term implications are of this kind of thing, if a law were ever to be passed charging anyone accused of stealing music or software or whatever with some sort of crime, and they suddenly had access to all these records?

ironically enough, i was thinking along the same lines just the other day trying to figure out how to log all the files that people DL off of me...not tracking IPs or anything, just filenames.

All kidding aside, what would happen if at some point these places decide to sell your searches to marketing firms? So if, for some reason, you've been searching for "Girls Gone Wild", you'll start getting e-mails advertising the DVDs. Spooky, but probably something someone would pay money for.
