Does SLI Work /W Just A Single Video Card

It is PCI-E or PCX... PCI-X is a server standard supporting 64bit 133mhz cards.

The 915 will not support SLI as it doesn't have 2x x16 PCI-E slots.

You cannot run SLI without an SLI motherboard. Additionally, SLI, Scalable Link Interface, meaning more than 1 card; so therefore you need 2 cards.

I would hold on the video card and:

A. Get an EVGA 6800GT and "step up" in 90 days to the 7800GT
B. Get the 7800GT now..

Seriously, use the search feature, or at least search the internet; all of these questions have been answered in every article concerning Nvidia cards.

I think he was asking if a single sli ready card would work at its full potential on a non-sli capable mb.

Yes it would (just make sure you buy that pci-e mb)
