my local store is selling psu's for $10 off and no tax

they have silverstone PSU's which they recommended to me (i used winchester 3200+ msi k8n neo4 platinum [pci-e], and a 6600gt pci-e video card)

all it says is "400W ATX Silverstone"

so i was wondering.....is silverstone good>?

I am running one right now in my machine. Fairly quite PS.
+12 V rail rated at 18 amps, but reads 11.673. Have 4 80mm case fans, 1 DVD drive, 1 CDROM burner, 2 hard drives.

Ordered a Super Flower this past Monday. Hasn't arrived yet, but it's rated at 520W with 20 amp +12V rail. TTGI is supposed to make a decent PS, plus at approx $40 shipped I figured I would give it a try. I am currently using a 350W Super Flower on another computer and it seems to be a good PS. The 3 speed fan (Auto, Silent or Turbo) is a nice feature.

Most SilverStone PSUs are made by Enhance, which is one of the better OEM power supply manufacturers around. Enhance PSUs are usually very reliable so you should be fine.

As tonyou mentioned, most of the Silverstones are made by Enhance (look for ENH in the model no.). A good mid-level PSU maker. Most of the Silverstones are older designs with the output weighted heavily to the 3.3/5V side. Newer systems put a premium on the +12 rail. IAC, if you operate them safely within spec, they will serve you well.
