does shaving make hair come in thicker?

hair tapers to the tip....and u keep cutting off the tip...so the hair keeps growing thicker and thicker.......donno saw a diagram somewhere...

Yeah, it feels thicker cuz the ends are flatter, IIRC, but doesn't grow in thicker. I read that somewhere, been a while. Don't feel like searching.

 
Ive been shaving since I was 15, and the more you shave the thicker the hair comes back, noticeably, its not a myth. I once did a charity event had my legs waxed, my leg hair grew back thickers leaving me looking like Alice the goon from Popeye. 😕
