Has anyone out there had their cpu damaged by overclocking and increasing voltage, even though temps were kept low by efficient cooling?
I'm no electrical engineer, but what I wondered was if the prime killer of o/c'ed CPU's is heat. Therefore any increases in voltage are fine just as long as it's accompanied with effective cooling measures in order to keep a low temp well within specs.
I'd love to here from some experts and people who have direct experience in early retiring (RIP) CPU's due to their o/c'ing exploits.
Thanks everyone.
Deano.
