"boot selection"?

My mobo has a hotkey to press to bring up a boot selection menu. In order to lock down a computer, and prevent it from booting anything but the installed HD, can you set a password in the BIOS, such that it prompts you for that password when pressing the boot selection hotkey? Or does the BIOS password prevent that from being an option?

I'm rather curious. Primarily interested in what happens with Zacate UEFI BIOS settings. Have to test that when I get to mess with that machine.

Usually the BIOS password will only show up when you enter the BIOS, but you can also setup a system password which you have to type in when the system starts.

I'd just have a play and see how you go
