Does SETI@Home benefit from more memory bandwidth, tighter timings?

Just wondering... I'm using the command-client for WinNT now and it's way faster then the graphical version, even minimized! :)

Yep, Seti (and Seventeen or Bust, too) love high FSB, high memory bandwidth, and low latency memory.

It is best to have slightly lower memory speeds but tighter timings than higher memory speed and looser timings :)

And low cpu-multiplier.

Well, I can't get a 1MB L2 processor but what do you mean by low multiplier? Super pumped FSB?

Right, for instance I have a 1700+ at 10X 220 fsb that does 2hr WU's 24/7
It's got Twinmos ram running at 2.0 - 2 - 2 - 3T

Seti likes that kind of thing ;)

Well, low cpu-multiplier is often coupled with high FSB...

But anyway, my old P2 running at 5x is my fastest machine, and AMD at 15x is terribly slow.
Based on MHz that is. ;)
