I have the now-grandfathered SERO plan- unlimited internet, text, picture email, no roaming, 500 anytime, unlimited N&E.

I can access internet fully via using my old Katana II and even check Gmail.

If I get a Blackberry, would I be charged extra for the data plan? Is unlimited internet = Blackberry data plan?

I'd call customer service but I got hung up on twice. Fvcking bitchass cunts so predictably terrible EVERYTIME I call them.

To my understanding, blackberry plans have some kind of mechanism in them for the groupware aspect of the BB. If you have no need for that, then I imagine it would be no different from any other phone.

Gah, getting my Blackberry data plan set up with SERO was a mess. I signed up online and selected the BB plan with data through Sero, then didn't get the data plan activated.

Call 1: Oh, you can't do data with SERO but I can add it for another $10
Call 2: They added $40 to the (voice) plan, didn't add the data plan
Call 3: They turned on the data plan for another $10 and adjusted the voice plan down $30
Call 4: They put me on the SERO plan with Data (as originally requested at the original price)

So YES but be prepared for the hassle. $30 for voice, $50 for data.

I believe that you used to be able to add BB to a SERO plan for another $30 or so per month.

Just got back. They said it's additional $30-40. They wouldn't budget.

I came home with Samsung Rant instead with full QWERTY keyboard. Good enough for me.

i thought with the newer SERO plans (SEPR), you can get the original $30 SERO but with blackberry service, sprint tv premier, sprint music premier, and sprint GPS for $60...

edit: i wouldnt even bother getting a blackberry or a samsung instinct on the old SERO plans...WAY too much hassle, believe me.
