I think I'm starting to get pinkeye, one of my eyes feel itchy. it feels like there's a grain of sand or hair stuck in the far inner corner. not again!!!! :| anyway I just wanted to know if there are pinkeye epidemics in seattle (or any US region for that matter) that happen yearly. I might have gotten it from someone else, but I'm not totally sure.

this really sucks 🙁
 
Conjunctivitis is very contagious. There's not really a 'season' for it, it just spreads easily from surfaces, etc. I used to get it fairly often (3-4 times total) during elementary school.

Wash your hands often.

🙁 guess i'll be lonely for a while then. the lsast time I had it, it was last summer. went on for like 3 weeks. pure hell.

Three weeks! Did you get any Tx or did you just let it run its course?
 
or is it just allergies? I remember in elementary school, I had terrible allergies. All my teachers were afraid I had pink eye.. it was kind of amusing. Hell, it still happens every so often now... blasted allergies.
 
Ahh conjunctivitis.. happened to me once, and I felt like scratching my eyes out :frown: My sister got infected, and the rest of my family got it soon after

rx pills + antibiotic ointment applied directly on the eyeball + steroid eyedrops

argh! i wish i was immune to every disease known to man. :|
 
I never had it in my entire life, over 45 years, then they hired this guy who had it (apparently a chronic thing) and I get it over and over again. One time it was so bad I could barely drive to the drug store to pick the stuff up.

They fired the carrier, and I haven't had it since..

It's so annoying, and the more potent drops are $$$
 
I haven't had it since I was was in jr. high school. I'd guess over 20 years now. And luckily none of my kids have brought it home from school yet.

Pinkeye sucks. 🙁
