Does SATAII controllers support SATA drives?

I believe they are backwards compatible.

My MB is supposed to support SATA II, and I don't recall seeing any differences in the connectors.

I'm using a SATA I Drive now because I haven't really seen a SATA II that impresses me that much yet.

 
Thanks for the replies. Just reading the long Asrock thread, someone else has done that as well, although I think he's having some issues w/ his drive showing up as a removable drive when plugged into SATAII.

It is not an issue.. SATA controller allow hot swappoing of SATA HDD.. nvidia controller do just that too..

Why it always has to be an issue ....?
