does samsung really have zero dead pixel warranty.

I've owned many a samsung monitors and was never unhappy with one, but i do think that if you get a non-widescreen monitor at this day in age you are making a mistake. I also want to make note that about 2 years ago I bought a samsung 710n from newegg and it was delivered with a stuck on green pixel in the middle left. I contacted Samsung about the issue and they cross shipped me a new one within a week. Great Company!! Dell on the other hand has a 30 day satisfaction guaruntee which will come in handy if you recieve a monitor with bad/stuck pixels. Hope this helps.
 
thats great of samsung. i am getting a non-widescreen cuz of the wierd resolutions (not to mention less surface area) and i will mostly be gaming on my xbox 360 that is not widescreen.

really ? so if i order a 19" widescreen will it show at the native resolution ? cuz the xbox has a 1280x1028 option but i don't know about the 1440 x 900 resolution

Not meaning that you have to have a TV that supports 720p (or even HD for that matter) to run Xbox360 games, but meaning the developer has to make the game compatible with 720p for it to be released 🙂

...in case somebody gets confused 😛
 
I have a syncmaster 205bw that i recently bought on black friday. Im pretty happy with the monitor but it has one stuck pixil. i had also heard that samsung had a 0 pixil policy too and called them up but they said that their warrenty is the one stated on their site which isnt 0 dead pixils. They did say if the stuck pixil was in the middle of the screen they would have rmad it but since its in the right corner no dice.
 
Dead pixel policies vary not only from manufacturers, but also from vendors. Vendors usually state you need a minimum number of dead/stuck pixels for warranty.
