does Ryzen really utilize dual channel for DC? WCG/SCC doesn't seem to...

so i finally threw in a second stick of DDR4-2400 onto my Ryzen 2400G. albeit it's only been a few days (Nov 3 in the evening was when i installed it), but at least on CPU project WCG/Smash Childhood Cancer, it doesn't seem to be changing much...

GPU *does* seem to make a bit of a difference, but not enough to make me want to not steal the stick and put it in another build if i were to get another cheap Ryzen...

anyone else see projects that did or didn't make a difference?

There are plenty DC projects which would demand fast RAM. All PrimeGrid LLR subprojects and LHC (both ATLAS and SixTrack subproject) for CPU and Einstein for AMD GPU.

how about big projects that don't need it?
With dual CCX CPU like all Ryzen 1xxx and 2600++, they would be benefited from high speed RAM modules (Infinity Fabric stuff), but single CCX CPU is less affected by RAM speed and bandwidth issue.
