Does running your RAM in dual channel hurt your OC?

if you're running AMD then yes. there was some chart around here showing how the dual channel didn't really help performance and even hurt it in some cases. oc wise dual channel will be harder to get running on super tight timings, but that's going to be hard either way since you're running 1GB. i have my 2x512 in single channel mode and i dont notice any speed difference.

I dunno about hurting performance... unless one module can't handle the speed you're running them at, and it creates errors that the CPU must take time to correct. But running two sticks together period can limit what your max RAM overclock can be, and how low you can get the timing... If one stick won't do it, neither will. And the nForce2 has some issues with dual memory channels... some memory is incompatible with it when running in dual channel mode.
