Does running an X2 help tremendously with capping video using fraps?

I'm curious on this. Seeing as to how Windows manages both cores, would this allow fraps to utilize one core for capping video of gameplay while the other core handles the actual game? Anyone with any experience with this?

Typically, with my single core, when capturing video during gameplay, the frame rate obviously suffers quite a bit due to the extra processing used. I'm wondering if the extra core will allow me to cap gameplay at extremely high frame rates without a hitch in gameplay.

Thanks guys.

You could do that, set the game to run on one core, and set the affinity for FRAPS to run on the other core. I don't think fraps really has that high of a CPU usage, so it doesn't really suffer that much, but will make a little bit of a differance.
