Does Rivatuner misread core speeds?

I used rivatuner/coolbits to OC my 6600gt core to 550mhz. On Rivatuner it's showing my core at 300mhz and my 3dm05 score reflect that.

Anyone have a simular problem or can link me to a simular thread?

Use more than one tool to check the frequency.
You can use this, which is free.
Look under "Display" and GPU.

Are you sure that's not just the 2d speed it's reading? Don't these cards slow down in 2d mode?

Whoa! 550mhz for a 6600GT core is really high. I've got my 6800GT at 400 and I think that's a good OC myself...
