Does Retail P4 come with Thermal grease? And is it necessary/advantageous?

Hi All
I have a Pentium 4 2.4/533 upstairs under the Christmas tree, ready for a rebuild on the 26th...It's a retail box,with the fan and heatsink included.

What I can't find out (without opening the package hehe) is if it comes with thermal grease or not. Does it? and if not, should I get some and use it?

Not planning on OCing it, just your average user, little bit of everything...gaming, audio production, word processing etc. I just want to do a good job, and I'd like to have everything on hand when I start the rebuild...

No thermal grease is included. Instead there is a thermal pad on the heatsink which is sufficient if you are not going to overclock.
