Does Radeon do fog effects?

I've never had an ATI card. I've always read that they have poor drivers and no fog effects in my favorite game, Combat Mission. But the new Radeon's are getting good reviews.

Can anybody tell me if Radeon's do fog effects or give me any useful feedback about whether buying a Radeon is a good idea? I like good picture quality. I'm currently fed up with Nvidia.
