Does quality of svideo cable for TV-output matter much?

I found a svideo cable lying around in my closet and i used it to hook my MSI Geforce4 ti4600 to my sony wega. It's aproximately 2ft long. It gets the job done but it's not the greatest quality and theres a constant scan going up and down. It's not too bad but annoying nonetheless. Will I achieve better quality with a higher quality cable? Like a monster or acoustic research svideo cable? Is it worth the investment.

Monster cables are for idiots, but since you are seeing a problem with the existing cable "something" better is worth trying. I use Belkin and AR, but thats just because they show up cheap in local swapmeets.

Thanks for the input...anyone else got any thoughts? Does length of the cable matter much also?
