I'd love an explanation on how weed is doubly worse. More than just "it makes you dumb" as there is literally no real evidence for that trend except when used during developmental 12-17 year old stage. And even then only 5-10IQ difference was reported in ONE study.

It's all what you make it. Live like you'll die tomorrow. It's not like there's dead people hanging around wishing they didn't smoke, or took it a little easier on that wet, winding road. Whether death comes tomorrow, next year, or 40 years from now is irrelevant as long as you're enjoying yourself now.

I quit smoking, but I don't make a big deal of people that smoke. It's a personal choice like anything else. I like to drink too much, which is arguably just as bad or worse. Breathing kills, too.

I guess it's a question of knowing where to draw the line then eh? If you're directly affecting others, I guess that's a pretty good place to draw it. For example, one of my neighbours seems to smoke like a chimney. I can tell when they are home, cause the whole floor smells like shit. That's inconsiderate and shitty (but you don't really notice so much when you're a smoker). If you're a pregnant woman, then you have the baby to consider.

Edit: I have to clarify, not all smokers are inconsiderate and shitty. friend lives in the building and always opens the window to smoke, doesn't bother me even when i'm there. just some inconsiderate asshats happen to be smokers too.

Otherwise, if you're not a pregnant woman or blowing smoke in other people's face or otherwise affecting them, then... What's the problem? People do a lot worse things than smoke.
