Does putting a 720p or 1080p copy of a movie or tv show make a difference on a iPad ?

I am trying to figure out if you can notice the difference on such a small screen.

What do you think?

Sorry this is the iPad Air 2.

I doubt the difference would perceptible. You may be able to tell because you know going in, but blindly watching, you won't notice.

Ok thanks so what is the lowest quality you would put on a iPad Air 2 ? 480p or 720p ?

There will be people I'm sure who swear up and down that 720/1080 makes some huge difference on so small a screen... but nah. Not really. On a large TV, sure you can see the difference, but on a relatively small iPad screen (assuming both copies are properly ripped) no difference that really matters.

420p you probably will see a difference. I personally wouldn't bother with less than 720p on a tablet.
