Does PrimeGrid require double- or single-precision FP ops?

Was thinking of possibly picking up a new GeForce 660 card. But of course, DP FP ops got pretty-well axed on the 600-series NV cards. So I'm wondering if it would be worth it over my GTX460 1GB card.

Depends on the application. The sieves don't require FP at all.

We tested the new NV. In the application tpsieve, NV680@1097 (compute 3.0) is faster than NV570@840 (compute 2.0), by 44% (12.94/9.0M p/s).

But the GFN app requires DP.

it's working for what it's worth.

10min on 680 = 5.62%,
10 min on 580 (10% overclock) = 7%

That said, a 460 is slow these days. (But I still have one.)
