Does pr0n drive Internet technology?

How much bandwidth does pr0n consume? If pr0n didn't exist would we still need as highend Cisco hardware? Would the net be faster?

Or is it the other way around? Did pr0n start the drive for cheap broadband?

I am curious as to what percentage of the net's bandwidth is used for pr0n traffic.

I would say it drives or did drive alot of the technology at the begenning of the internet.
Come to think of it PORN drives just about everything😉

most (easy to get) porn is just jpg's, my guess is most bandwidth goes to MP3, Video (music, fansubs), and ISO's on IRC, P2P apps and newsgroups

uh...huh. Obviously you've never done much searching for video on Morpheus/Kazaa.

Next time you watch a streaming video, thank a pornographer. Next time you sign up for broadband, thank a pornographer. Sure, those things would have happened eventually, but the technology was pressed forward by porn. Like it it or not.

HAHA! Thats a good one! People don't buy 100+ GB hard drives for nothing.

If it weren't for pr0n, we probably wouldn't have VHS. When it first came out, p0rn videos outnumbered all others for years.
