Most town governments have ordinances against owning livestock if you live on less then an acre. I would check into that. And if you qualify find out where the local livestock auction is. I know we have one locally that sells chicks to horses in a bid process.

Believe me, I know. An idiot two doors from me had some until the cops were called and he was fined for having them.

I went to a place that was selling chicks once, but that was in Nevada.......

Petsmart & Petco do not sell baby chickens. If you live anywhere near the country, your mother might be better off contacting a farmer to get the baby chickens.
