Does panel uniformity improve over time?

Speaking generally I'm very happy with my new 24" monitor: no dead pixels and no backlight bleeding. But (there's always a but) the panel uniformity on a white background is lackluster. It´s not very even and I can distinguish some sort of yellowish spots.
Anyway it improves when the display gets warmer so I'm wondering whether it will improve over time as well.

I don't feel like changing it because I could end up getting something worse.

Regards.

The old tale that says "Time heals all wounds" isn't true in this case. You are not going to see any improvement with time.

I've heard so many more complaints about Dell monitors in the past 2-3 years than any other brand. They share panels with several other companies, but for whatever reason Dells seem to be affected the worst. This goes for, at a minimum, the 2408WFP and the U2410.

That's why I gave up and bought my EA231WMi. I would have preferred the extra inch of diagonal real estate and a 16:10 resolution, and the panel isn't absolutely perfect in this one either, but at least with the ~$300 street price any minor uniformity issues are far more forgivable than a monitor twice its price.

I would have loved to grab a u2410 for my third monitor, but the dozens of complaints of pink and green tinting on cnet and other review sites made me scared to get one.
