Does Palin's fake folsky talk bother you?

If it were authentic I wouldn't mind it so much but it's so blatantly faked. Especially the way she tries to enunciate words to sound folksy, just irritating.

I'm not sure if it's fake or authentic but either way it bugs me.

I live in a pretty "folksy" area and people don't talk like that.

edit: typo

What makes you think it's fake? Go back and look at any of her interviews pre-VP nomination...

The Flanders family characters in the Simpsons were based off of people like her.

It was okay for the first 30m or so, but got really annoying past that. All of the gosh darnits, winking, and folksy sayings drove me crazy towards the end. That & the not answering questions.

It's not all that uncommon in general - just inappropriate and disingenuous in politics - trying to make a point emotionally instead of intellectually.

Say it ain't so Joe.
May I call you Joe? 😛

What was up with that? She asked him that, and then for most of the debate referred to him as "Senator Biden"... what was the purpose of asking him?
