DOES PAINT JOB FOR A CAR WORK!?

I'm planning to buy a Civic LX and have it painted Blue.

Where is a good place I can trust?

How much do these things cost?

How do they usually turn out and how long do they last?

What color is it now? Keep in mind that if you don't get the car disassembled, all of the door jambs and "hidden" parts of the paint will come through whenever you open doors/trunk/hood.

Paitn jobs can cost from $300 to $15,000
for $300, your car will look like crap, and it'll probably start coming off in a year. for $15,000 your car will win car shows, and the paint should last forever.

If you want it to be comparable in quality to how it came from the factory, expect to spend about $3000.

The title of this psot makes no sense.

buying a car in the hopes of having it painted is _not_ a good idea, it's not very cost effective at all. as said, you're gonna be spening $3-5k for a good paint job, you really should look around until you find the color you want to start with. with a good deal and if you can get hooked up, $2k might just barely do it for ya. you're going to want to paint the engine bay, inside trunk wells, etc.
