Does overclocking make your clock run faster?

I've got my new PC humming along at a tidy 20% OC and this morning I noticed that the clock was wrong. I synched it up with the Internet Time feature and went to work. I come home and while I was just working, I noticed that it was over a half-hour fast in just 12 hours! I reset again and it picked up ~90 seconds in the ensuing 30 minutes.

WTF?!?!??!? This ain't right!

If it was slow I would suggest checking the CMOS battery, but fast?

Change your CMOS battery.. Ive seen it happen many times. 😉

No need to get the new battery just yet. Why don't you leave the processor at stock and see what happens first?

I overclocked a pc once and it played mp3's a double speed. 😕

Check to see if its the CMOS clock or Windows. If you reboot does the clock go to correct time ??
