Does overclocking cause memory errors?

I overclocked my 1700+ XP to a 2100+ XP, and I think i've been getting more memory errors lately surfing the internet. My fsb is at 140, and I have samsung 2100 cl2.5 Is this possible?

Yeah, "insane"... I've been using this board and ram for almost a year now, the only thing i did was change the CPU. maybe it's just Windows.

It may be your CPU since that the only thing that was changed. Also a possibility is that the heat sink doen't have full contact with the CPU.

is this chip unlocked ? if you increased the fsb to 140 you are not at 1742...I have a 1700 and it is 11*145=1595 or 1900
I would guess if you are running at default multiplier the 1700 should be able to do 11*140=1540...

what is vcore set at?...may need more voltage

with a multiplier of 11 you need to be a fsb of 158 to get to 1742...what revision is the chip early 1700 would not do this..newer one will

I still say you need increase vcore..
