Would the video decoding performance of an ATI 6450 with 64-bit DDR3 1GB memory be improved by overclocking the memory from 667Mhz to 800Mhz or higher? Or overclocking the GPU itself? Or is the 64-bit bandwidth the primary limiting factor?

Yes, but the GPU is soo slow rendering will take long long time. If you had faster CPU and video card and use OpenGL ,, things will fly. My dads rig is a 2600k @ 4.2Ghz and 560 Ti video card.

He does video editing and photoshop ...Hes actually good he is 71 , God bless that man.

I found a 6800 XT XFX ,,,,,, we had storaged up. it was even in the bag thingie. Looks brand new. 6800 GT is much faster then 6450 ,, its night and day.

Ill give you my 6800 XT 2 DVI ports and hdcp for free. We have no use for it here. I havent tried to see if it works, But Im positive it does work. Its very clean almost brand new looking.

Your a good guy its my pleasure. If you can promise me you'll pay shipping once you receive the card, I would be grateful. Its probably 6 bucks or something. Anyhow let me know if you want it. Ok brother,, take care,,gg and gb
