Does overclocking a cpu shorten its lifespan...

Does O/Cing a CPU shorten it's lifespan? (or even the lifespan of ram if you o/c the fsb or something?) Just curious.. i hear of all the benefits of overclocking for "free" speed gains, but is there a life-span cost in the long run? Thanks

The speed increase won't, but the voltage increase will--depending on how high it is....

Yes depending on high you go ...maybe you'll lose a year form say 8 to 7...so what that CPU goimng to be worth 7 years from now?
