The only company I know of that warranties overclocked parts is DFI.

Some people like to cheat the warranty system though :/

I don't know if they can tell but yes it does void your warranty. How and if they can tell is another question.

Most motherboard companies won't void your warranty for running out of spec which is what overclocking is & many RAM makers won't either provided you don't exceed the maximum voltage the memory is rated to handle, however both AMD & Intel warranties are void if you overclock.

Blah, most board companys dont check thats why. Unless you fryed it, majorly noticibly.

overclockin is really commen n people do it a lot n i bet its somewhat safe i expected the warrenties to not to be void by overclockin but i guess then there is no advantage of buyin a processor which has high stock speed, so is there anyway u can get ur processer in warrenty after overclockin?

omg -_- The advantage of buying a chip with a high stock speed is that you DON'T have to OC it, and that it handles high loads at the high 'stock' speed better then slower cpu's do. It often will also OC to a higher speed then cheaper cpu's at lower stock speeds.

About the warranty, if you fry it you're busted. But if your cpu/mobo/ram are unharmed, and you reset your cmos, then I don't think there is a way to check the settings that caused your hardware to fail.

VOID. aftermarket coolers? VOID.

you can cheat the system, but that's on your conscience.
