Does Outlok 2003's Junk Email filtering just not work?

On my university-provided email address, I've been getting some spam from one particular company. This doesn't surprise me since our addresses are easily mineable (is that a word?) since it's just firstname.lastname.

In Outlook 2003, I have added the email addresses to my blocked senders, yet they get delivered anyway. Instead of just going into my junk email folder, they show up in my inbox. It's slightly annoying, since I get about 4 a night and have to delete them every morning. Actually, the deleting isn't annoying, it's the fact that there is supposed to be some sort of junk filtering in place in Outlook 2003 and it's not working for whatever reason.

The only thing I can figure is it might be a problem because I'm sorting emails based on the account they came from into different folders. Would that cause problems?

Check the junk e-mail options for seeing what Outlook is supposed to do when it encounters spam. Also update the filter from Microsoft Update.

Outlook is set to move Junk Email to the Junk Email folder. The email address the messege comes from never changes and they're not spoofing anything - they appear to be as legitimate as a spammer can be and if I sent an unsubscribe request, I might get off their list. They're using embedded images to verify email addresses, so I'm pretty hesitant to try unsubscribing.

Everything appears to be set correctly, it's just not moving the messeges. The Junk Email filter has worked strangely ever since I started using Outlook. Sometimes it will tell me it moved a messege there, then the folder is empty. Other times it "moves" a messege, but leaves a copy in my regular folder.

I'll check to see if there's any office updates that fix the problem.
