Does onboard raid still suck?

Title says it all - Trying to decide whether to use the intel 82801 onboard raid controller w/ two striped 80gb drives (I'm not all *that* worried about reliability since I store everything on another drive) OR to use my wd2500ks (250gb se16 drive) as my system drive.

I'll say read through other RAID related topics and make the call yourself. If you ever decided to RAID 0 highly recommend using two WD 250 SE16 vice the WD 80GB. Just use the 80GB for storage or back ups. BTW, I do have two WD 250 SE16 on RAID 0 and very satisfied with it!
