There is something I want to know about Nyko Xbox 360 Intercooler. Does it really help cool the console down or it doesn't really work?

I personally think all those things are gimmicks as the consoles are made with sufficient cooling.

Old one no, newer EX version, maybe. I have the newer one and it just made my 360 even louder so I stopped using it. Plus I wasnt keen on the idead that it plugged into the 360s power port and the passthru for the powerbrick made me nervous. Last thing I want is a 203w power adapter blowing up behind my wall unit. :)

They sound like crap. I'd just not bother and know that your rrod coverage is a few years anyway.

Adding fans on top of fans really doesn't help anything. You'll maybe be 1'C cooler in the end which is not worth $20-$30 in the least.

Yep. Just keep it in an open well-ventilated area. Same with the power brick. Don't get the intercooler.

I have heard the same thing...any after market cooling is pointless I was told.

The ones for the Wii are the best. I don't think the Wii even gets above room temperature much.

My cooling:

I just took a couple 80mm fans taped them side by side tight with electric tape. Then I taped them with a single strip of duct tape down each side to hold on. I bought a 12v universal adapter from big lots for $5 bucks already had a on/off switch. It really makes a difference and is quiet. I can feel the GPU side pulling out very warm air and the CPU side is cool as can be. Its a Falcon by the way. Also when on I can feel air being pulled in the vents on the sides and bottom more then just factory.

naw just stripped the ends of wires, twisted and taped. Connect the on/off switch on the ground or hot wire wires. I'd recommend something with airflow of 32CFM and noise in the 20's dBA. Unless you don't mind noise then go with a higher CFM.

actually no, apparently you know nothing about cooling. BTW 80mm fans only work using HDMI unless one is willing to cut on one of the fans.

Looks horrible but as long as it works for ya

Im just gonna let my xenon box die and hopefully have it replaced by a nice new jasper or even a falcon would be fine.

I heard the Nyko Intercooler can potentially overload the 360's PSU. I would not recommend using it. If it's a Falcon or a Jasper model, you probably won't have overheating issues. Just keep it in a cool room away from heat sources and it should be fine.

I have the new Jasper Elite 360 with the 150w PSU. What I did was hook up my Nayko Intercooler 360 up. take the 150w psu off and put on a 203w psu on my 360 with the intercooler. =50w to play with! they say the intercooler takes the power from your xbox not, if you are using a better psu on it. The intercooler does work! the xbox 360 has 5v fans the run slower untell your 360 over heats the the stock fans kick up to 12v the runns faster RPM'S but is too late 360 is almost to the RROD. Intercooler fans are always 12v and at full RPM'S thus 3 to 5 F cooler on you GPU and CPU. With the Jasper you don't really need too do this unless your xbox is in a cubby or flower. Also keep blowing and dust out, air compressor works grate! for that.
