I know this is the wrong forum because I get no response from other forum......

My NT server 4.0 retail CD is getting old and I need to copy it to a new CD. The stuff in it amount to 612MB and when I tried to copy to a new CD..it kept saying that I need as least 750MB. :Q

How do I keep it from expanding?

Use the CD copy option in a program like Nero.

It sounds as though you are either dragging the contents of the CD into the compilation window, or using a program like EZCD creator, which can't copy a CD at the best of times.

Interesting. I had no trouble copying my NT 4 WS CD with Nero.

The NT 4 CDs have a few directories replicated - they appear 2x on the CD, but are only recorded once - if they are copied twice they won't fit.

Try the backup disc function in CDRWIN, I can't believe that won't do it.

grab adaptec and do a strict data burn, not cd copy. That should only grab the files that are actually on the cd, nothing more, nothing less.
You might try CDRwins iso on-the-fly and see if you can trick it into doing a cd data burn
