Does NON-ECC SDRAM work on ECC SDRAM slots?

Depends on the mobo.

Some mobos can handle ECC RAM but doesn't require it.
Some can't handle it at all in which case ECC RAM will just work like any regular RAM.

And some mobo's require ECC, for instance alot of servers do.
