How is NJ? I went there back in 1996 and wasn't too impressed...went to Hoboken and it was alright there.

Any Rutgers students here? Opinions on the schools and the 3 different campuses?

Lmao, the fact that this is a repost. In the exact same wording too..
Rider is a pretty good business school as well. More well known then Rutgers so I've heard in the business trade.

My ex roomie has an MBA from Rutgers business school and he said the quality of students is very low. Not too many bright ones there. I met a few of them and they didn't particularly impress me. I was able to get him an internship at the investment bank I was working at the time and they all thought he was god. I think of all the students only a handful got big business jobs afterwards including my roommate. He was offered the job because he stood out from the rest of his class due to his internship. He got a job at Toilet and Douche....er I mean Deloitte and Touche.

On the flip side though, I have seen a few Wall Streeters with MBAs from Rutgers.

That doesn't help me much, dude :)

It all sucks, there are just varying degrees of suck. I'm in South NJ, it's not too bad down here. I dread going to North NJ, the smell is bad in a lot of places, the people seem like they are trying to act like they are from New York.

Well if the quality of students isn't very high, it may help if you're bright and are able to outshile the not-so-bright ones. Your teachers may like you more :)

Nope.

North NJ - filled with horses and farms and woods and fields.

South NJ - filled with beaches and forests and not much of anything.

NJ near Newark airport - congested, but that is such a small part of NJ.. it's just all anyone sees when they fly into Newark and they drive right out.

True, but companies don't aggressively recruit from there which is a huge drawback.

Yea... unfortunatly, it's false.

RU would be awesome if that were true.

Are you an idiot? Half the people here in Northern NJ are FROM New York or WORK in New York because it's so ridiculously high priced. I understand some people fear civilization - enjoy your South Jersey farmland.

For a business school I would recommend:

Uv of Columbus
Uv of Michigan
Penn State
Rider NJ

Or if you're rich, Harvard or Stanford.

And all those people have never been to NJ, and/or have only changed planes at Newark Airport.

Well tell me in brief a little about NJ and the places that are nice.

If you have the time, ofcourse.

I"m applying to:

U of Michigan
U of North Carolina - Chapel hill
Indiana U
U of Maryland

and one more that I can't decide on right now.

Edit: This is for the MBA programs... I'm a U of M alum, so hopefully I have some leverage there, tho my GPA is only 3.1

Nice. I have to do well on my GMAT to stand a chance. My GPA is 3.43 overall and 3.72 Major.
