So I am in the process of building a new system and in my various moments of priceshopping there are instances where I left items in my cart to come back to later.
One time I had been searching for a good price on a Noctua NH-D14. I put it in my cart and then got sidetracked and left it there to come back to. The next day I went to my cart and there was another item in my cart: Sunbeam PL-RS-6 Rheosmart 6 Fan Controller 5.25" Bay 6 Channel 30W Fan Controller - it had it's price listed - then a note "auto-add item discount" and was free. It was interesting because I was actually considering getting a fan controller but hadn't even looked at one yet, but for a $35 item, that made the Noctua a great deal. I had a few other items to throw in my cart and checked out.
I went back to the Noctua fan page and did not see any kind of mention of a "combo" special or anything mentioning you got a fan controller with it. So I am wondering if they don't try to sweeten the pot some times
Does this happen often? (and why not more often?
) I just spent a buttload.
