Does newegg have free/reduced shipping durring holidays?

I was looking at an receipt of an item I'd purchased last year on Dec. 29th from newegg. It had reduced shipping. Is it their habit to reduce shipping at any time during the holidays?

I need a few CRTs and perhaps computer cases.
 
I didnt seem to get any deals on my order placed in early December. I placed 2 orders this week and saw no discount either.
 
They treat their 3-Day shipping as a discounted special.

I rely just as much on Zip-Zoom-Fly - (formerly GoogleGear) - and they are now featuring FREE 2nd day shipping on most orders.

NewEgg really isn't any better, and sometimes not as good.
 
If I remember correctly they had a $1 or $2 shipping promotion last year but raised prices to offset the reduced shipping. For example:

item normally costs $15 and shipping is $5

during the promotion the item was $19 and shipping was $1
 
I got some CRTs and cases in a "wish list" that's waiting for a shipping discount. If it comes up I'm on it.

Does anyone ever shop Provantage.com ?
