Because there are a lot of retards who are not born before 1996 on the internet? Egghead is completely different from Newegg. In fact, I hate Egghead so much I'm so glad they went out of business. Think of Egghead as a BestBuy before there was a BestBuy.

I remember when Egghead first appeared as a store on Long Island in the mid-80s, and it was a delight to have them as an alternative to Computerland or 47th St. Photo.

They eventually overexpanded nationally, and were pretty much killed by on line sales.

But - I would never be so immature as to say I "hated" them. They served a purpose and filled a need, especially in the 1984-1992 era.

And if you live in a non-warehouse state with a sales tax and income tax, you're supposed to report it on your annual taxes and pay the sales tax then.
Can cite a reference for this? We don't pay sales tax with our income tax returns; they are for INCOME TAX.

The Lord is right in principle, but technically, it then becomes USE TAX, not SALES TAX. This explains - see page 2.

Tax

Thanks. That's a good reference. I think it's just a matter of time before many of us will have to pay sales tax on Internet purchases, which is indicated by page 4 of the link you cited. The states have too much at stake not to press for the legislation and administrative procedures needed to implement this.
