I ordered a motherboard on Tuesday night at 11pm, then changed my mind and called in on Wednesday morning at 9:30am to cancell my order --- IT HAS ALREADY SHIPPED(supposedly). However the guy told me that I can refuse shipment of that order and I will be refunded. I asked if I will be charged 15% restocking fee, he said NO... Does anyone know from experience if thats true?

Thanks in advance,

Vlad

I presume he told you the truth. I've had thousands of dollars run through NewEggs hands and have yet to have a bad experience.

no if u refuse payment or not present during delivery (and presuming they dont leave it at your doorstep) it is automatically rma'ed and u get full refund. i think they only charge restocking if u open it then rma it for a refund...

they might have changed their policy.

they are a pretty good company though, but recently i've noticed they've been getting worse. they screwed up an RMA royally for me, sent me the wrong board, another RMA they didnt give me back the accessories, one motherboard my friend bought was supposed to be "new" but you could tell it was not, and also they messed up an order of mine this week for a cdrw , the one in my system, and said it was fedex's fault and that my zipcode was invalid. i ordered another one and it came the next day to the same zipcode. they dont ship as fast as they used to either, but they are still probably the best online store . if you email them or call them expressing that you dont think you shoul dget charged restocking they probably wont do it.

(i rma'd one of the above things when a refurb CDRW was DOA, and i said i was just gonna buy a "new" one, and they didnt make me pay restock)
