Does Nero 6.0 have disc spanning ?

It seems like with version 6 they added some bloat from the review I've read. If anybody has installed it does it have disc spanning like easy cd 6.0 ?

Yes it does. With the BackItUp backup utility on the Ultra Edition.

Nero's new BackItUp backup utility works like a charm; you can back up and restore, as well as schedule backups at specific intervals. BackItUp isn't as mature as Stomp's BackUp MyPC, but it offers everything most users need: compression, disc spanning and scheduling. It even throws in straight file copying for quick, everyday backups of your most important files. Our only beef: BackItUp can be a bit clunky to use. For example, unless you define your backup as a job or actually execute a backup, you can't save specific options, such as which files to back up and whether to use compression. We'd also like a Run Now option for scheduled backups.

Have this version but haven't tried this feature, yet. 🙂

I'm surprised how good Easy CD 6.0 is compared with how crappy version 5 was but I guess there was only room for improvement.

so what does disc spanning do?

With Roxio Easy CD 6 it allows you to create disc that are bigger then 700 megs by spanning the data to more then one cd. The .exe automatically gets added to the disc so if you pop it into any machine the program launches and will tell you what disc's the programs you want is and can sew them back together. It's has a 30 cd limit though but that's pretty big.

So if you have a folder with 3 gigs of files you just burn it and it will automatically span onto 5 cd-r's instead of trying to sort what data to fit on cd's.
