Does NE1 now like the Chevy Avalanche now that it can be had w/o the body armor?

Looks less beefy, but cleaner. The Cladding made the body look wider overall, which was good. I wish they modified the body a tad to compensate for the absence of the cladding. Now it looks like a Silverado.

Now they need to remove the huge plastic fastback thing from in back of the cab.

I don't like the "parts bin engineering" they did. Had they actually changed the sheet metal, I would have been far more impressed than with the cladding/fastback add on.

Much better with cladding. I'd only buy one without if it had large fender flares on it.

but u cant get rid of those, if u do, everything that keeps the cab quiet while driving w/ the window out is shot. ive had the rear window out, and drove home from purdue (6 hour drive) and it was quieter than driving w/ any one window open. also, rain hardly EVER hits that window, and you can see how ver y little wind is actually there, when the water just sits on the area behind the window when driving 70mph.

I think when the Avalanche first came out, I would have preferred it without all that cladding. But now I'm so accustomed to seeing them with the cladding, I kind of like it.

Meh.....it's still a half-baked idea for a truck, poorly executed.

I never hear about anyone talking about Trailmaster or Rancho edition Silverado's / Sierra's.. does ANYONE else in the country get these?

Anyway, I think a Rancho edition Avalanche would eb a good move, I have already seen a Rancho lifed Avalanche and it REALLY makes it look good and mean for offroad. :)

Lol. I actually didn't either until I got my grandpa's old one. Now it's hard to go back to driving a car.
