just a random thought. with all the cures and treatments for diseases that we have nowadays, how badly are we screwing with natural selection and what will the ramifications be? besides overpopulation and resource shortages?

people who dun deserve to live living due to "humanitarian reasons"
It constantly amazes me why people who can't be bothered to look both ways before crossing the road are allowed to get away with it if someone hits them and they survive.
while the guy who was driving might not have done anything wrong and gets thrown in jail.

if survival of the fittest were implemented, our race might have become a stronger one a lot longer ago, but who knows? and indeed, no one has the right to say a man should die simple because he is weaker...

oh well. who cares. :)

I believe that natural selection still exists for humans. Its called the Darwin Awards.

In some third world countires you have fighting over whose make believe god is better, and kill and be killed over said god. Another example of natural selection in action.

Although you also have natural selection in reverse when countries kill off the intelectuals, and supress a large portion of its population. ::cough:: Afghanastan ::cough::
