HI,
I recently got Q9450 and overclocked it to 3.4GHz on Asus P5Q. The cooling heatsink is Tuniq tower and I dropped some AS5 as the thermal paste. In addition to that, I even mount one Antec 120 fan on one side of the Tuniq tower hoping better cooling effect.
I have used this setup for about a week without getting any system crash.
For idle time, I got the followings from 3 separate softwares, which I couldn't correlate one to another.
HWmonitor : C0: 49C; C1: 44C; C2:49C; C3:49C;
RealTemp: 39C; 34C; 39C; 39C;
Asus PC Probe II: 35C
I ran everest and found it's around 65~72C with 100% load for 4 cores and I got error result turning screen red.
In addition to that, this setup couldn't survive the first two minutes of OCCT running --- giving error like "CUP is too hot".
Could anybody tell me if the CPU is too hot or not?
Thanks!
LD
